In the Company of Whispers

In the Company of Whispers

Multi-talented author Sallie Lowenstein reads from her new novel, In the Company of Whispers, which examines the past, present and future of Burma through the lens of her own childhood experiences living there. As she relates the story of sixteen-year-old Zeyya and her grandmother, Lowenstein crosses genres to examine how we carry memories from one generation to another. By merging past and future, image and word, fact and fiction, Lowenstein urges teen and adult readers to consider their own intergenerational links.  Books will be available for sale at the event. Free; for ages 12 to adult.
